On May 14, 2019, UPS announced it will more than triple its Saturday pickup for international destinations.

This is big news for businesses that ship internationally as it adds one day to the operating week. This allows shipments to be sent on Saturday, processed on Sunday, and delivered by Monday. For UPS customers, this could help reduce shipping costs and ease the pressure of accumulating weekend orders. The list of Saturday pickups went from 57 to 179 countries. The list can be found here.

UPS hopes this announcement will be helpful for eCommerce businesses that ship internationally. The hope is the Saturday service will allow for quicker, more efficient supply chains, helping with customer conversion rate, lowering cart abandonment.
